Pakistan Hosts First-Ever NFPA Authorized Fire Protection Training!

About This Historic Event

Witness and support the historic opening ceremony of Pakistan’s first-ever authentic NFPA in-person training. A large number of C-suite executives and institutional leaders are attending this groundbreaking event.

“You can have the best systems in place hydrants, sprinklers, alarms but if you don’t take care of them, what’s the point? That’s why we support HSE officers. Countries like England and Australia are successful because they maintain them. The real issue here is not lack of resources — it’s lack of awareness.”

The inauguration was graced by two distinguished guests, whose insights set the tone for transformative change in Pakistan’s fire safety culture:

You can have the best systems in place — hydrants, sprinklers, alarms — but if you don’t take care of them, what’s the point? That’s why we appoint HSE officers. Countries like England and Australia are successful because they don’t just install systems, they maintain them. The real issue here is not lack of resources — it’s lack of awareness.

Mr. Muhammad Humayun Khan

Chief Fire & Rescue Officer – Karachi Metropolitan Corporation

What are we doing as part of civil society? I want to talk about two things — public interest and fundamental rights.
Public interest means protecting and promoting the rights of every citizen.

If I live in a building, I should have the fundamental right to safety and security. If a hazard occurs, I should be able to escape. That’s not a luxury — that’s a basic human right.

Mr. Saad Amanullah Khan

Chairman – PILAP | Board Member – K-Electric, NBP Funds, FFC, International Packaging Films
